I have a rather large Varicocele, it doesn't hurt or cause me any discomfort, but I heard that It affects fertility and recovery from the surgery is long and painful, is that true?

Varicocele can affect fertility you need to asses the degree of your varicocele and the venous blood flow to the testicles by doing echo doppler flow. You should do it as soon as possible. And then consult a urologist to assess it degree. the recovery from surgery need to be discussed with your urologist

You need to do an echo doppler for your varicocele, it probably needs surgery to improve fertility.
