How to get rid of bad breath caused by garlic?

- Brush teeth thoroughly (if possible) after eating garlic and take a capsule containing strong fluid minth such as "Rendez vous" capsule (or similar), which is usually available in pharmacy.

My friend has blue gums due to stress and smoking. Is there any way to completely get rid of it? she had surgery so the medical part is done, but the bue color (aesthetically) is always there. thanks
