My brother is 58, has 4 blocked arteries and he is diabetic , is there any options other than bypass open heart surgery?

I suppose you are talking about coronary arteries. Whenever we have more than 2 tightened coronary arteries, the scientific societies (North American and European) recommend bypass surgeries. It is best for the patient's long term survival and well being even though one might think it is hard to have an open heart operation. With fresh surgical skills, patients are discharged at the 4th postoperative day in good shape.
