It is okay to give your one year old child chocolate but certainly not every day and not on a regular basis. Adding chocolate to your child’s diet can contribute to tooth decay and cavities and also spoil his appetite. We do encourage parents to provide their children with healthy snacks packed with vitamins and nutrients such as fruits, vegetables and grains which will promote better eating habits and thus prevent obesity.

The most important thing is that children never eat chocolate or sugar after 6pm. Two hours are a must for the saliva to clean the teeth avoiding decay.
