I did exactly what you said & he reacted so well when I stayed with him on weekends but when he sees her he ignores me completely. It's obvious that he prefers her & shows so much love for her

Don't worry, even though you feel this, this feeling will have an end. Two years later he will be in school and return to you and have his holidays with you. This is only a stage but will not last forever. Keep doing what you are doing and no worries; you are his mother despite all the love for others. Usually all kids even if their mothers are not working women, they show their love to grandparents but the kind of love for you or any mother will be different.
