Light to moderate efforts are advised or both youngsters and adults. Different opinions exist concerning weight lifting and plyometrics before the end of the growth age. A recent study (May 2013) suggested that strength training is safe in children and adolescents, as long as some safety rules are followed, and exercise done in the presence of a qualified professional and progressive overload.
