Every time I take the Curam 1g antibiotic, I suffer from diarrhea. Is it possible to change the antibiotic during the treatment? What should I do?

What are you taking Curam for? And do you take it frequently? A good piece of advice would be to take probiotics concomitantly with the antibiotic course, as Curam (amoxicillin-clavulanic acid being the active ingredient) may, in the process of destroying harmful bacteria, induce alteration in the normal intestinal flora (the intestinal flora are the symbiotic bacteria that live inside the intestines and help produce vitamin K and maintain a healthy medium in the intestines) because the drug also kills these beneficial bacteria, and by killing good bacteria the normal function (mostly absorption of nutrients) of the intestines may get affected, so diarrhea takes place. As such, probiotics may help reduce diarrhea in this case by replenishing your intestines with these good bacteria.
And remember to always discuss side effects of treatment with your treating physician who knows your condition best.
