Vitamin E does NOT cause cancer on the long run. It has an anti-oxidant effect and in some observational studies it is found to have a preventive effect on prostate, bladder, and colorectal cancer. This protective effect has not been confirmed in clinical studies but what is sure is that it doesn't cause cancer.
