I am 58, was diagnosed with BPH and given a prescription of Xatral XL 10mg and Avodart 05mg to be taken permanently as one tablet a day from each. Is there any better medicine or solution?

- It is a very good combined treatment specially if your prostate is more than 40 g. Don,t forget to do you your PSA and your digital recta exam annually

- It is usually infection in your epididymis (sperm reservoir) . It is a dull pain and could be chronic? Anti inflamatory drugs are usefull

I am 100 positive i have a bladder/kidney infection. I am very prone to them. I also had half my bladder removed last year due to a malignant tumour that was growing on it. What antibiotics do i need?

- You don't need antibiotics if your are not febrile. Just drink al lot of water and fluid. Good. Luck. And make Sure you re doing your routine imaging and lab test at time

- These pills are not real. You have to drop this idea from your mind. Many patients who ask these type of questions are physically normal but they don't trust themselves.

What do you advise as treatment for interesitial cystitis

- It is a chronic but not a serious disease. We have now in Lebanon a treatment which is introduced in the bladder with very good result.
