Today I noticed some rectal bleeding. The blood color is real red and I feel discomfort around my anus. What might be causing it? Should I see a doctor immediately?

For the Past couple of weeks, I've had rectal bleeding(red blood on stool) & a discomfort when i press on my right rib cage. Are those two related? I am having no pain at all, no fever & nthg else.
