Why do we have insomnia? and is there anything that can help?

Numerous are the causes of insomnia. Some examples are difficulty breathing at night, or having to go to the bathroom frequently, or pain in the legs, etc. Or, which is more common, because of psychological issues, like stress, anxiety, depression, etc.
First, we do recommend following good sleep hygiene, like avoiding stimulants in the evening, sleep at a comfortable temperature, using the bed only for sleeping (and sex), etc. Meanwhile, we try to look for the underlying cause and treat accordingly, if needed. Bottom line, there is no one answer to your question.
