Stretch marks are not only limited to obesity. They can occur during fast growth or fast changes to the skin (a rapid gain of length or a rapid weight loss). Sometimes the use of oral steroids can cause stretch marks too. When the stretch marks are still red there are treatments that can help, when they are white some lasers have been tried and can do some improvement without being able to erase them. Avoiding the causative factors of stretch marks can limit their increase with time.
