cochlear implant is aan implantable hearing aid that is used for patient who suffer of severe heasring loss or gor patients who had a normal hearing that is lost after an infection like meningitis or trauma or surgeries .the edecision to use it requires special heaqring test as well as sophisticated radiologic evaluation of the inner ear.
the amount of hearing gain after surgery depends on the type of hearing loss as well as the x-ray exam, the age of the patient and the time and effort of post operative rehabilitation that that particular patient requires.
