Like any surgery, the risks involve infection, bleeding as well as healing problems. You can also have some decrease in sensation which can last for several months and, in rare cases, become permanent. No risk of cancer. You can breastfeed safely.

I do agree with Dr Ibrahim but just wanted to add that in some case the nipple sensation can increase.
