It is, but only in a small population of children. Nonetheless, teething does NOT cause fever or any sort of infection (like diarrhea or cold symptoms). The diarrhea may lead to dehydration if fluid replacement is sub-optimal, and it imperative to have your baby examined by the pediatrician and at least do stool tests.
