Regarding cervical cancer, if a girl and her future partner are not and have not been sexually active in the past and if she doesn't have any heredity to this disease, should she take the vaccination?

Yes, it is recommended .. only a recommendation ... as it is a vaccine, and vaccinations are preventive care measures. In this case especially, the biggest benefit was shown in those who were not yet exposed to the HPV (human papilloma virus), (virgin girls). The vaccine was proven to be safe and cost effective in thousands of cases. There is no hereditary proven data in cervical cancer (while there is hereditary predisposition in ovarian cancer but it is a completely different cancer). So even if there are no cases in the family, it is still beneficial. The discussion should be done with your gynecologist to give you a medical advice.

As gynecologists we do recommend the HPV vaccine for all women before starting sexual activity.
The HPV virus infects the cervix with sexual intercourse, so being vaccinated before can provide this immunity.
We have good data for over 10 years now that this is beneficial. The recommendation in Western countries is to vaccinate girls between 9-26 years.
There is even discussion to vaccinate boys too in the future, because they carry the virus and can transmit it to women.
