Oxytocin is a hormone secreted by the pituitary gland. It helps with labor induction and milk production. As for the nneurotransmitter you are talking about is serotonin and yes there are medications that help decrease it's metabolism. They are called SSRI that are used in the treatment of depression, anxiety and others psychiatric diseases. They are given only underdirect pprescriptionby a physician.
