My wife is pregnant and she's in her 4th month. she's coughing too much. Does cough has effects on pregnancy?

A doctor should examine your wife to look for the cause of the persistant cough. A pulmonary radiography chould be done after the 5 th month with protection on the pregnant's woman tummy , if necessary.
There is no direct effect on the pregnancy or the baby.

No direct effect of the cough per se unless it is a reflection of allergy and mainly of asthma. Yhis needs to be diagnosed by a specialist because if went undiagnosed could hurt the mother and the baby. There are other possibilities but the most likely diagnosis would be asthma or GERD
