My vagina hurts and it seems to have gotten swollen. It burns when I urinate and I have excess white discharge. What could be causing this?

The white discharge might be a fungal infection (candida) and if this is confirmed by an examination a simple treatment cures it. However having burning on urination is a sign of a urinary infection and this has to be treated before it worsens and cause a kidney infection.
