Stained teeth in toddlers can result from: 1- most commonly persistent usage of milk bottle because the sugar in the milk (lactose) causes carries; 2- inappropriate dose of fluoride (too much & sometimes too little); certain antibiotics; conditions that lead to iron getting deposited (this is less likely but more serious). I think the 1st option is the most likely and this is harmless especially that these are "milk teeth" and will fall off. As for the fluoride please double check with your child's pediatrician to make sure he's getting the right dose (from drinking water plus supplements).

Also I would like to add that also teeth discoloration ( white, yellow, or brown spots on the teeth) and structural changes of teeth (poor enamel formation, pitting of teeth, and translucent-looking teeth) can be a nonclassic manifestation of Celiac disease (gluten intolerance or wheat allergy).

i agree with the previous answers and would like to add that teeth discoloration could be due to a trauma to the specific tooth leading to necrosis. a simple dental check up can help you clarify that.

Along with all of the above, there is also one more thing: if you are giving iron or multivitamines containing iron to your child, this may produce black spots that are totally harmless and will disappear the day you stop giving iron.
