My brother hums a lot during his sleep. Is it because of his dreams or does he have a nasal problem? Any recommendations?

This is a parasomnia called (sleep talking) which is uttering of wards or sounds during sleep. There is no awareness of the event by the sleeper and speech is generally devoid of meaning. Unless the problem is leading to disruption of sleep or it is a secondary symptom to other sleep pathology, treatment is rarely necessary.
