Joint "cracking" often results from a cavitation or space created within the joint by movement of the bones. In your case the bones of your ankles are shifting around as you walk and they create some space within the joint which allows air to flow out from the fluid that is present in every joint in your body. Once this space is closed up the the bones and fluid collapse on the air pockets and create the "cracking" or "popping" sound
I would say that there is nothing wrong right now. As long as the cracking is not causing any pain there is no reason to think that you need to get it checked out right now.it is possible that your joint are, what we call, "hyper mobile". This basically means that your ligaments do not hold your joints as tightly together and they are allowed to move more freely. Even though it isn't painful now this does increase your chances of spraining or breaking your ankles because they aren't as stable.
However, if you do find that your ankles start to bother you I would suggest possibly getting your ankles taped by an athletic therapist, trainer or physical therapist prior to games. This will compensate for the lack of stability in your ankles and reduce your risk of injury. Also, you could see a physical therapist and they could give you some exercises that will increase your ankle stability.
