My 2 years old daughter had a convulsion fever due to a 40 fever she did it before at 1 year old is this gonna have any side effects in the future and how to act when she does it and how to ptevent it

your daugther has a febrile seizure febrile seizure can be divided into one simple febrile seizure and complex febrile seizure, seizure can occur even if baby has 38 degree fever, no side effects for febrile seizure, or any future sequelae, for anxious parents we can offer them valium drops to be given to the child during febrile episodes, otherwise patient should be examine to know the cause of the fever because baby might have otits media in that case he needs antibiotics and not to be given antibiotics for viral illness which he only needs antipyretics
