I'm 54,my TSH(Elecsys) test:1.56micIU/ml,my dad,75 years is : 2.35.our dr.said we both doesn't need medications..is this true? why is this difference?what does it mean..thx

The TSH values you are reporting are within normal limits. Every lab has its own range of normal values and i would urge you to verify that the results reported are within normal range for the lab where you did your test (normal range should be listed on lab test paper).
Variation between one person and another is very normal as long as the value is within the normal range there is no need for treatment.
