You are not improving because the cause of your pain was not identified nor treated. Inflammation or pain in the heels without a specific reason such as heavy/strenuous exercise should be investigated. Here are the conditions that can lead to your symptoms:
- Psoriasis/psoriatic arthritis
- Inflammation in the bowels (Crohn's Ulcerative colitis)
- Inflammatory spondylitis (inflammation in the back)
- Sarcoidosis (inflammation in the joints, lungs, and rarely nerves)
- sometimes it is a mechanical problem which means the tendon itself has a problem or the attachment surface has a spur.
