For over a month now I have been suffering from chest mucus, tonsils pain, and can't talk easily. My doctor prescribed me Augmentin. I got better then sick again after I finished my dose.

You didn't mention for how long you took Augmentin. Maybe you need more treatment. Book an appointment with a doctor.
