Does Granudoxy cause diarrhea because every time I take it, I go to the bathroom. I've been this way since I started taking it and in October, it would have been 2 months. What should I do?

Doxycycline (Granudoxy) is a type of antibiotics used frequently in the treatment of the common acne vulgaris. Inadvertently, and as part of its action, this antibiotic, like many other antibiotics, kills the intestinal flora, which are good bacteria that inhabit our intestines and favor health digestion and absorption. In rare instances, doxycycline may cause a severe intestinal condition (Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea) due to a type of resistant bacteria; this type of bacteria overgrows on the expense of the intestinal flora under the effect of the drug. This condition may occur during treatment, or weeks to months after treatment has been discontinued. Do not use anti-diarrhea products or narcotic pain medications if you have symptoms of diarrhea because these products may make them worse. If you develop persistent diarrhea, abdominal or stomach pain/cramping, or you see blood/mucus in your stool, contact your treating physician to discuss alternative treatments. You can also take probiotics, which help replace the intestinal flora.
