RoAccutane, just like Isosupra, Curacné and other brand names, contain isotretinoin as their main active ingredient. Isotretinoin is a molecule derived from vitamin A and is used for the treatment of severe acne; it's found in 2 forms: topical (ointments) and oral (capsules). It's a known teratogen, that is, it causes significant malformations in the developing fetus. It does not, however, necessarily alter hormone levels and does not compromise the ability to conceive.
Granudoxy is an antibiotic (doxycycline) from the tetracycline family and is useful for the treatment of acne. There is no indication that there is an increased risk of malformations in the children of women treated with this agent during pregnancy. BUT you must always refer to your obstetrician.
