What foods should I eat and avoid in order to reduce my LDL and increase my HDL?
29 أبريل 2015

د. Rony Shammas أمراض القلب
Low density lipoprotein ( LDL, bad cholesterol) carries cholesterol to the blood vessels and causes plaque buildup. HDL ( high density lipoprotein or good cholesterol) carries the cholesterol particles away from the blood vessels to be disposed of in the liver. Cutting down on foods that are high in saturated fat ( red meat, dairy products) may lower the LDL. Nuts, oily fish, exercise and avoiding tobacco products may increase HDL.
