Advil Cold and Sinus may, in rare instances, cause headache. However, in your case and with the associated ear pain, it is most likely due to the flu itself. You may have otitis (inflammation of the tympanic membrane, or ear drum), and probably nasal/sinus congestion which is causing an increase in pressure on the Eustachian tubes (these are curved tubes that drain fluids from the nose and ears). As such, fluid may also have accumulated behind the ear drum. All these dynamics can cause the headache and ear pain.
You should see a physician if your symptoms persist; otherwise it's self-limited and should resolve within a couple of days.
