- you detect it through mammography &/or breast ultrasound, we usually do these images after the age of 40, or 10years before the onset of diagnosis in the first degree relatives .

Do you recommend Breast Thermography instead of Mammography for breasts because it is less risky since it doesn't contain radiation. Is it effective in determining breast cancer as the mammography.

- Thermography is not very specific as an exam. It has a high rate if false negative and false positive.
The gold standard still is mammography and ultrasound.
Biopsy will confirm diagnosis.

- For women with an average risk of breast cancer (no immediate family members such as mother or sister with breast cancer at an early age), no tests are needed before the age of 35.
