Can I have an epidural for labour before cervix dilation?

- Usually the epidural is put when the cervix starts to dilate more than 3 cm.

Took epidural for vaginal delivery, now my back is hurting a lot (4 months since delivery) especially in the area I got the shot. I sometimes cannot stand the pain, is that normal? Will it get better?

- it is not normal to have back pain for all this time. Physiotherapy will improve your back condition.
