This could be a sign of infection in the urinary tract, the vagina, or both. You should have a gynecologist examine you (pelvic exam) and do a culture of the urine and vaginal secretions,especially if you are sexually active in order to rule out a sexually transmitted infection (STI). The treatment will be determined according to the culture results. If indeed it is an STI, you will need to inform your sexual partner(s) so that they receive treatment as well.
