Why do you get uneven white spots on skin while tanning goes away? My friend said from peeling/dryness? How long does it take to get rid of them? Can they be permanent if I am pregnant?

The appearance of white spots after tanning could be due to number of things:
- Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis (Hypersensitivity to UV rays, damaged secretion of melanin in certain skin cells)
- Certain medication: Antibiotics (Tetracyclin), Birth control pills
- Skin fungus
- Vitiligo (absence of melanin secretion)
