What are lung cancer symptoms in men?
5 نوفمبر 2013

د. Karim Farah طب الأمراض الرئوية والتنفسية
Lung cancer symptoms can vary depending on the size, type, location, staging of the tumor. patients can be asymptomatic (no symptoms at all) or can have generalized fatigue, shortness of breath, cough, hemoptysis (coughing up blood), weight loss (unintentional), chest pain.
that is why the american lung association, the national cancer society recommend the low dose CT chest screening for lung cancer for hight risk people: patient aged 55-75 and who are currently or ex heavy smoker (>30 pack.year which means they have/are smoking one pack/day for 30years or 2 packs/day for 15 years or its equivalent)

Lung cancer symptoms in men are variable and not specific at all like dry cough, hemoptysis (coughing of blood), hoarseness (loss of voice), weight loss, Anorexia (decrease in Appetite) etc...
The patient should consult a chest physician as soon as possible for physical exam, Chest X-Ray, etc...
