So aside from all the medicine I took, how long should I wait for the spots to disappear? Should I take any other medicine? Or are you saying that the spots will never disappear?

they will disappear but they tend to recur again especially in hot humid weather,and oily skin nature.the time needed fro them to disappear varies according to the severity of the fungus,and taking the medicine following thje doctor dosing and duration with not missing a dose exactly as prescribed
AS i posted in the previuos answer you can take in addition to antifungal pills ,antifungal cream that can be applied on the spots directly and avoid sun exposure and bathing with selenium selfinide shampoo (the shampoo for anti dandruff contains this ingredient)
they should fade by this
