My husband has problems in the pituitary gland and he's been taking dostinax for 1 year and a half. But the sperm count ranges from 3 million to 10 than to 5. The sperm count is not increasing at all.

Dostinax (cabergoline) is used to treat high levels of prolactin hormone in body, high levels of prolactin in men can cause symptoms such as enlarged breasts and decreased sexual ability/desire. Cabergoline is an ergot medication and works by blocking the release of prolactin from the pituitary gland.

The treatment with cabergoline normalized prolactin and testosterone levels, improving gonadal and sexual function and fertility in hyperprolactinaemic males and can be successfully used as primary therapy in men with large macroprolactinomas.

So you must be patient and follow the doctors follow the doctor's instructions carefully.Take this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it,24 months of cabergoline treatment restored gonadal function in 66.7% of men with hyperprolactinaemia.
If no improvement then try to check with the doctor following him ,to increase dose or change the medication depending on his condition and his following doctor opinion .
