My doctor tried to give me another class of Calcium channel blocker (i forgot it's name) but I stopped it due to another side effect which is bronchospasm and I'm also an asthmatic patient..

Calcium channel blockers usually do not cause bronchospam; this side effect is more likely to be encountered in asthmatic patients who use a beta blocker which while it dilates the blood vessels (relaxes the muscles in the walls of the blood vessels) it actually constricts the airways (narrows the airways by inducing contraction if the smooth muscles in the walls of the airways). You need to discuss the adverse effect profile of the medication you're on with your treating physician and consider alternative treatment options in case these adverse effects are intolerable. And there is a wide variety of medications that can be used in the treatment of migraine so you plenty of other options to choose from,probably with a less bothersome side effect profile. In any case, and as my colleague has already advised, you ought to have a dentist check your gums to make sure that the gingival hyperplasia and gingival bleeding are not due to a cause other than the calcium channel blocker.
