My belly button smells no matter how much i try to clean it. What is the cause of this and how can i fix it?

Try cleaning it with cotton beads (Q-tips), that have been dipped in alcohol(ethanol)/betadine. The cause might be a leak in your ombilical cord. If the smell doesn't go away you will have to contact your physician (a surgeon) so that he could fix it.
