Mon fils a un an et je vais souvent a Jeddah chez mon mari. Faut-il avoir peur de l'avion, de la chaleur, de l asthma et des virus (corona par ex) ou autres?

I am an adult pulmonologist. You need a pediatric pulmonologist for the correct answer.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory condition of the respiratory airways. Individuals with asthma are known to be more predisposed to acquire respiratory infections than normal people, because the local immune reaction to infection in the respiratory tract is inadequate (often exaggerated). In addition, any respiratory infection is bound to exacerbate asthma or even precipitate an asthma attack.
If a person catches the Corona virus, symptoms of active illness may not appear before 14 days. It is therefore not possible to recognize if travelers on the plane carry the virus. This virus is transmitted between people through close contact. Since the airplane is a closed environment and rather narrow spaced, the chance of sitting in proximity to a possible virus carrier increase.
I therefore recommend that you and your child put a face mask while on the plane only. (remember that if you catch it, your son may catch it from you, that is why you too should wear a mask).
