you need to be seen by a gastroenterologist as soon as possible. there are lots of blood test that should be done to test for including liver function test, echocardiogram and renal function test. in addition paracentesis should be done ie fluid draining from the abdomen should be done and sent for studies and cytology.
dont neglect yourself... the causes of ascites are plenty and it can vary from low albumin/protein to cancer or infection.
