The liquefaction of the sperm is done by the secretions of the prostate and the seminal vesicles (2 glands that lies behind the prostate.
So a high liquefaction time might be due to a decrease in the prostatic secretions, or absence of the seminal vesicles if there is absence of liquefaction.
