The possibility of a pregnancy taking place is still there even if you have had sexual intercourse after your period was over, as it remains very difficult to determine with precision the exact time of ovulation.
You also need to take note of the following facts:
Sperm can live inside a woman's body for 3 - 5 days.
A released egg only lives for 4 to 12 hours.
The highest pregnancy rates have been reported when the egg and sperm join together within 4 to 6 hours of ovulation.
If signs and symptoms of pregnancy develop, you need to do a pregnancy test. In case you turn out to be pregnant and you wish to terminate your pregnancy, you need to consult a specialist on the matter.
And please remember: abortion in Lebanon is still regarded as an ILLEGAL procedure.
