I've had abdominal pain and a dry mouth (white coated tongue); my doctor recommended fludinium but it didn't ease my pain (diagnosis: stress, weather change, smoking and alcohol). I'm anxious.

Even though a white tongue is usually a temporary and harmless condition, it is worth seeing a Gastroenterologist if it hurts or if it lasts more than a couple of weeks. Besides the usual causes, some less common one require proper medical intervention.
