No this is not true, there is no reason for left-handed people to live any shorter than right-handed people.
this idea was a result of some studies done long time ago, however sometimes results of studies which are not well designed may give wrong results which are totally a result of chance, and resulted in this myth.
More recent, well designed studies, showed no difference in life span between left handed and right handed people.
