If the symptoms went after 6 days, and I used Vaseline.Now,5 days later,I feel tonsillitis,&my sound is effected, Is this related,coz I know that maybe Std cause flu-like symb. What test should I do

If you're concerned about a sexually transmitted infection (STI), the two most common bacteria that cause genital and tonsillar symptoms are chlamydia and gonorrhea. You're advised to get attonsillar swab culture (a cotton tip is inserted into the oral cavity and rubbed against the tonsils). This test's results come out in a maximum of 48 hours. If positive you and your sexual partner must receive antibiotics (according to the organism that grows on the culture).

they may and may not be related .
since your symptoms get relieved after the use of vaseline which is a lubricating or a moisturizer then the most possible cause of your condition was dryness and poor lubrication during the intercourse beside more frequent intercourse
if it was an infection it would had need an antibiotic to be treated
however if you feel you may have std infection it is preferable to do the tests for
since all of std symptoms are wide and some are even asymptomatic (no symptoms ) and some more complicated
