I have high stomach acidity that keeps on inflating my esophagus and my throat. What should I do? Is there any medicinal syrup I can take since I can't swallow pills?

There are medications to relieve excess stomach acidity and acid reflux, like Tums (these are chewable calcium fortified tablets like bonbons), or Gaviscon fluid. But these are only temporary solutions and only relieve the symptoms but do not treat the cause, and continuous acid reflux into the esophagus and throat has many complications on the long run if not treated: recurrent upper respiratory tract infections, hoarseness, and esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus with secondary problems like difficulty swallowing or severe tissue damage). You are therefore advised to consult a gastroenterology specialist to comprehensively address the problem.
