I have favism, do corticosteroids have a bad effect on me? If not, can I take flixonaz nasal spray? And what do you recommend as oral corticosteroids?

Corticosteroids are safe to use in individuals who suffer from favism, or G6PD deficiency. In fact, steroids are used to abort any form of severe hemolytic reaction (when red blood cells start to break down in large numbers) in case of accidental ingestion of fava beans or fava beans extracts or any drug that is contraindicated in patients with G6PD deficiency. The same goes for intranasal steroids (Nasonex and other brand names).
Kindly check the following link for the full list of drugs and foods that are contraindicated in G6PD deficiency individuals: http://g6pddeficiency.org/wp/living-with-g6pd-deficiency/drugs-to-avoid-list/#.VI2-HI9BvqB,
