It is not possible to determine the specific cause of ear pain without direct examination of the ear. It could be an acute/ active infection like otitis media, trauma due to inappropriate use of cotton tip, fluid trapped behind the ear drum (effusion) because of recurrent ear infections (recurrent otitis media) or because of allergies. So you see, the possibilities are many. I recommend you take your daughter for medical examination in her pediatrician's clinic.
