The vast majority of moles are not dangerous. However, If you notice recent changes in a mole's color, height, size, or shape, or if your mole starts bleeding, itching or became painful , you should have a dermatologist evaluate it. Other moles that might be of medical concern are those that look different than other existing moles and moles that first appear after age 30.
If you have any concerns about a mole, talk to your dermatologist.
